Museum Overview

The Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology [Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia] (MAE) is located on the São Paulo Campus, in the University City [Cidade Universitária] (Butantã district), west side of the city of São Paulo. The mission of MAE is to build up collections and carry out teaching, research, and university outreach activities in archaeology, ethnology, and museology. MAE promotes the study, protection, enhancement, and communication of Brazil’s archaeological and ethnological heritage, as well as the collections of external origin in its custody.

Undergraduate Education
