Institute Overview
The Institute of Geosciences [Instituto de Geociências] (IGc) aims to provide the highest level of professional training in Geosciences, contribute to scientific and technological development, and improve socio-economic conditions. IGc is located on the São Paulo Campus, in the University City [Cidade Universitária] (Butantã district), west side of the city of São Paulo.
The Institute of Geosciences (IGc) is composed of two departments (name and code):
- Department of Mineralogy and Geotectonics (GMG)
- Department of Sedimentary and Environmental Geology (GSA)
