Institute Overview
The Institute Dante Pazzanese of Cardiology [Instituto Dante Pazzaneze de Cardiologia] (IDPC) aims to provide comprehensive outpatient, emergency, and inpatient medical care in the cardiovascular field. Its objectives include promoting health, protecting against cardiovascular diseases, and diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating patients with these conditions. The Institute is also dedicated to research and development in cardiovascular medicine, including the creation of new technologies, equipment, procedures, practices, and drugs. Additionally, it focuses on educating all professionals in the field of cardiology and related public health areas. Since the early 1990s, the Institute has been affiliated with the University of São Paulo as an Associated Entity, enabling it to conduct postgraduate activities. This affiliation has facilitated the development of numerous clinical, interventional, and surgical research lines and the training of new researchers and scientists in the medical field. IDPC is located in the Vila Mariana district, South-Central Zone of the city of São Paulo.
