The Clinical Hospital of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School [Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto] (HCFMRP) aims to contribute to research and scientific investigation in all its aspects, serve as a training ground for medical and nursing students, provide medical and hospital care, and offer training for physicians as outlined in its regulations. Additionally, it seeks to collaborate and contribute to the medical and health education of the public. HCFMRP is located on the Ribeirão Preto Campus, in the city of Ribeirão Preto.

HCFMRP serves as a teaching center for students of Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Metabolism, Speech Therapy, and Biomedical Informatics at USP Ribeirão Preto. Scientific research is one of the key factors that distinguishes HCFMRP in the health sector. The hospital provides its entire infrastructure to professors from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School [Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto] (FMRP) and the Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing [Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirão Preto] (EERP), as well as to graduate students and medical residents, for the execution of clinical research projects and the preparation of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.
