FEUSP promove palestras sobre o Mundo Contemporâneo e uma apresentação da Vilnius University (Lituânia)
No dia 23 de agosto de 2022, das 16h às 18h, a Profª Julija Tuleikytė da Vilnius University (Lituania), professora visitante na FEUSP, ministrará a seguinte palestra, em uma ação da disciplina EDM5203 – Globalisation: Culture and Education (PPGE – FEUSP) e ECF5702 – Seminários Gerais de Ensino de Ciências (PIEC- USP). A palestra será no Auditório Adma Jafet – IF-USP. Abaixo segue um resumo breve:
The Contemporary World: Searching for Reality and Truth
What is the role of reality in the contemporary world of hyperreality? What is the role of truth in the contemporary post-truth epoch? The talk will focus on philosophical conceptions and on the contemporary issues of grasping reality and truth in the world of self-fulfilling hypotheses and media. Critical references to logical fallacies in political speeches, instrumental production of commercial profit-oriented traditions in culture, victim-blaming narratives of Russian war in Ukraine and others will invite for a wider discussion.

Já no dia 24 de agosto de 2022, das 13h às 14h, acontece o evento “Conheça a Vilnius University (Lituânia)” , também com a Profª Julija Tuleikyte.
Esta instituição já recebeu estudantes de graduação e pós-graduação da USP. A palestrante é professora visitante na FEUSP, ministra aulas na pós-graduação e apresentará a sua instituição para toda a comunidade USP.
