IRI promove seminário “International Authority and Its Politicization”
O Instituto de Relações Internacionais (IRI) promove o Seminário de Pesquisa “International Authority and Its Politicization”, que será proferido pelo Professor Michael Zürn (Freie Universität, Alemanha).
Michael Zürn é professor da Freie Universität e Diretor da unidade de pesquisa “Transnational Conflicts and International Institutions” no Social Science Research Center, em Berlim. O Prof. Zürn fundou a Hertie School of Governance, em Berlim, que dirige desde 2004. Dentre os seus projetos de pesquisa mais recentes, destaca-se o projeto sobre organizações internacionais e a proteção dos direitos fundamentais dos indivíduos e o projeto sobre a Sociologia Política do Cosmopolitanismo e do Comunitarismo. Michael Zürn dirigiu o Max Planck Institute for the the Study of Societies em 2003. Dentre as suas publicações mais recentes estão “On Fragmentation, Differentiation and Coordination” (Global Environmental Politics 2013), “International Authority and Its Politicization” (International Theory 2012) e “Can the Politicization of European Integration be Reversed?” (Journal of Common Market Studies 2012). Ele é autor de inúmeros livros e capítulos, com destaque para o livro publicado em 2006 pela Cambridge University Press: “Analyzing International Environmental Regimes. From Case Study to Database” (em co-autoria com Helmut Breitmeier e Oran Young).
O seminário acontecerá dia 23 de setembro, das 17h30 às 19h00, na sala de aula 1º andar – IRI/USP.
